Our Mission

Fashion Studies Alliance is a New York-based network and support system for professionals and students working in the field of fashion studies including academia, archiving, curating, conservation, design, journalism and research. We foster collaboration, growth, support and development of individuals and the community. Furthermore, Fashion Studies Alliance aims to unite these groups and promote critical fashion thinking through the following goals:

• Provide a forum for regular workshopping and peer review;

• Facilitate project development within the community;

• Create a network of specialized consultants available to industry and related fashion studies inquiries;

• Act as ambassadors for the field of fashion studies and partner with related professional organizations and

• Establish a standard of best practices.
