Group Action: Diversity in Museum Collections

Join FSA for an online discussion of Vanessa Friedman's recent New York Times article "The Incredible Whiteness of the Museum Fashion Collection," followed by a collective group action to implement diversity in the field of fashion studies. Participants are encouraged to select an item of fashion or dress which they feel would strengthen diversity in a museum collection.

In advance of the event, please submit an image of your selection and 150 words (or less) about the object and your rationale for its inclusion in a museum. Participants will be invited to speak about their object for up to 3 minutes if they wish. All submissions will be added to the FSA Resources webpage following the event.
